One year one of my children wrote a letter to Santa and asked him what his favorite kind of cookie is. His answer: snickerdoodles! So they've been on our holiday baking list ever since. :)

You're right, thanks for the reminder. I haven't made snickerdoodles in a long time. We've got freezing rain here today, so this might be the perfect time to do it again!
Best,
Susan

I have never made snickerdoodles-- I used to love them, but then I had a bad one and I haven't eaten one since. But everyone is posting about them, so I guess I owe them a second chance!! Recipe looks great!

Snickerdoodles find their way into our cookie jar all year long. Nothing better and I love their simplicity. They were the first cookie I ever baked. I did them for a boyfriend who was a new dentist. The recipe lasted. The boyfriend didn't!

Best,
Bonnie

Snickerdoodles are one of my favorite cookies. Yours are so puffy. Sometimes mine go a little flat. I will have to compare our recipes.

I love these and make them with my student in the drop cookie portion of our cookie unit every year and they are a huge hit amongst all of them. I never had them in my home as a child, and I wonder why. They are so simple to make. We always have all of the ingredients and they are so delicious. I love them. YUM!

I love snickerdoodles. You are right; they deserve a spot on the holiday table. I love how yours come out thick. I prefer a thicker, chewier cookie. I actually do not have a recipe for these, so thanks:)

I must be one of the very few that never baked or had the pleasure of a Snickerdoodle cookie ;o)

Glad you put this recipe...I might be able to squeeze it into my cookie platter and finally have a bite of one ;o)

Flavourful wishes,
Claudia

You know you're right about Snickerdoodles being on the Holiday baking list. My father in law is a huge fan of them. A good friend of mine rolls hers in colored sugar for the holidays. They look a little strange that way, but it works for her.
Love the look of your blog! Love the look of those cabbage rolls posted above! Yum!!
Happy Holidays!

Velva, my husband found a recipe for Snickerdoodles in an old Christmas cookie cookbook of mine and we just love them.....you're right, everyone should include these sweet little darlings on their cookie trays or in their cookie jars. Problem is that I tend to eat them by the dozen! Ro
