Tallahassee Cooking Club, January 2011

Welcome to Cooking Club!  The theme for the evening was a dish from your favorite celebrity chef.

I wanted to share with you photos from Saturday evening.

Enjoy!

The evening started an  Isle of Pines Cocktail.  You can check out the link here:

Wild mushrooms in a Madeira sauce served on whole grain toast points

Roasted fennel soup with a dusting of hazelnuts

Roasted vegetable ratatouille

 Espresso Panna Cotta for Dessert

Another fabulous evening. Great food, great wine and great friends.

I love your cooking club! And that panna cotta? How marvelous. And nothing better than fennel soup; I'd really like to make that recipe, it looks excellent. (I already have your Isle of Pines recipe...yum)

Velva, so happy you invited me here today. So rewarding, just to see all this marvelous food all in one place.

p.s. I just posted a short story about a young graduate student during her sojourn at Florida State University back in the seventies. Should you wish to see/read it, you'll
find the blog classroomnotes on my profile.

Tallahassee was always full of magic!

The loveliest menu and I have my eye on those mushrooms in Madeira today. Tomorrow it will be another one of your dishes and the next day, I will be enchanted with another. (How does one get an invite.)

I guess I live too far away to ask to join your club. I can, however, live vicariously so keep posting those recipes.

Best,

Thanks for visiting my blog! Your blog is very mouthwatering! And I love the very cute header of the tomato vine. Do you take all the pictures except for Wednesday? They are excellent! But I don't think I will try that snake coctail from a few posts back, why is it named that?
