Strawberry Muddle
Serves 6-8
Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
Strawberries
1 bottle of Italian Prosecco

1. Prepare a simple syrup by combining sugar and water in a small pan. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves. Set aside to cool.
2. Quarter 2-3 strawberries, place in a cocktail glass with 1 tablespoon of the simple syrup. Muddle strawberries with a wooden spoon or muddler until combined.
3. Add ice to glass, about half full.
4. Pour Prosecco until glass is almost full.

This drink does, indeed, have my name all over it!! Can't wait to try it!!
Sounds good to me! My strawberries are just starting to bloom, have about another month and I'll be all set:@)
This looks so refreshing to me Velva!
What a perfect summery drink; love the combination. Now all we need is the warm weather.

Anything with prosecco suits me!

That drink looks so pretty and (I am sure) taste so delightful, I don't think I could only have one!!!!
As the Italians say "ching, ching" ~ this looks delicious and has my name all over it!
Delicious! This is a perfect treat to end a nice summer day :)
Velva - no one does a drink better than you. I love that when I entertain, I can look up a great drink on your site - seasonal, delicious, and usually not common. Love that!

I'll drink to that! It sounds perfect for a summer day if summer would only just get here!!!!

uber refreshing...I'd have it :-)
It's a thing of beauty! I might make these tomorrow for a little girls happy hour I am having! Thanks for the inspiration! I'm getting all sorts of good ideas today from my blogger friends!!! XO
Lovely refreshing, spring drink! Brilliant :)
This certainly does have my name written all over it!
oh great drink telling ya you need a drinks app or cookbook!
Wow, what a refreshing treat! I have strawberries that are sweet and tiny and I think they are ideal for this fabulous drink! Cheers!
Aaahhh, refreshing indeed!
so gorgeous! it's been so hot, i could totally go for one of those.
Informative post. It was really very informative. The measure to turn everything green is a welcome measure in the era of global warming where every waste product are releasing toxic gases that pollutes the atmosphere. This Sustainable dining will receive a warm feedback from the people and hence will definitely stay for long. .
I love any cocktail that includes sparkling wine, it's always so refreshing! Years ago when I worked as a cocktail bar at a fancy restaurant in Sydney, I used to make "love juice" similar to this drink but basically a blended strawberry daquari topped with sparkling. Lovely combo, strawberries and sparkling, keep 'em coming, girl! x
Perfect! We should be seeing our locally grown strawberries in a week or two!
Best,
Susan
I picture myself on a chaise lounge outside reading a good book and sipping on this. It looks so refreshing and delicious.
That's me! I am not a hard core drinker, I am not a drinker at all, but this smoothie is something totally different! Very refreshing!
Make me another please. This drink looks delicious.
This sound so refreshing. I'd love to have a glass of it. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
I just try this!!! Will be having a family BBQ and I think the other ladies and I will be ENJOYING this beauty!!!
That is just exactly for me! Looks so refreshing!
I am definitely not a hard-core drinker. I am a drinker with an appreciation for drinks that bubble and look like candy. SOLD!
Oh yummy! Perfect for our blazing hot Florida weather!
Perfect for my "cheap date" drinking habits (cheap as in one glass and I'm done!). And we have a batch of fresh picked strawberries in the frig! Yum!
Sounds interesting but I think I'll stick to ice tea :-)
Great idea. I imagine it'd be good with other muddled fruits, too...though strawberry is a lovely choice. :)
Gorgeous and timely - my counter is full of strawberries!
Hmmm - perfect for the season :)
