Tokyo Kaikan Gimlet

These last two months, I could not tell you if I was coming or going.   Finally a weekend to catch my breath.   Looking forward to getting the garden plot ready for the fall season, and evenings enjoying a good meal, and a good cocktail.

It has been awhile since I posted a cocktail recipe.  My apologies.

Tokyo Kaikan Gimlet
Makes 1 drink

Ingredients:
1/4 gin (preferably Gordon's)
1 Tbsp, plus 2 tsp. fresh lime juice
1Tbsp. simple syrup
1/2 tsp. Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice

Directions:
Pour into a shaker filled with ice cubes.  Cover; shake vigorously until outside of shaker is frosty.  Strain into coupe glass; add 1 large ice cube from shaker.

Enjoy!

I've missed you on the Web! This little bevvy looks tempting! We cleaned out our veggie beds last weekend (always makes me sad) and planted rhubarb and need to get the rest of the stuff out there! I hope that you are doing well Velva!

That's okay.

Wine worked just fine. :)

I fixed your polenta with sausage and parmesan last week (can't remember the exact name) as well as your oatmeal cookies. You are w-a-y up on my husband's list now. He loved them both.

I love Gimlets, but I make mine with vodka since I don't like gin. So technically they're not really gimlets.

I feel the same way. It's been such a busy end of summer for me! I used to love gimlets but haven't had one for ages. A very refreshing cocktail!

Lime juice, simple syrup, and gin...this gotta be good! Thanks for the recipe, Velva. (I have to admit, I love any drinks with simple syrup in the them. Yum.)

Oh my, I'm with you on the crazy last few months. I'm so tired. :-) But we're making it, right?! Would love this drink right now, and just added gin to my grocery list. :-)

I love a good refreshing gimlet. Though you know me, the ex cocktail bartender has to question things....why is this a Tokyo cocktail? I thought there'd be sake? It's almost a traditional gimlet but I don't understand the use of Rose's lime as well as fresh lime and sugar syrup. One or the other. But I'm glad you had a chance to relax and enjoy a cocktail...I had a kaffir lime mojito in L.A.!
